Having spent the first 20 years of his life in Wiltshire staring at sheep in the field behind his childhood home Jonnie decamped to London to train at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts where he developed his penchant for creating challenging characters both as an actor and a screenwriter.
Recent film and TV work includes leading / major roles in numerous independent features plus leading roles in several high profile award-winning short films and a role in ITV's hugely successful prison drama 'Bad Girls'. His performances have been seen at film festivals in Canada, USA, France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Korea, Japan as well as the UK.
2011 will see the release of 'Umbrage' in which Jonnie plays an Irish Cowboy Vampire alongside Doug Bradley (Hellraiser).
Jonnie wrote, produced and starred in the feature 'Animals' for Jaffa Films and in 2010 was co-producer on 'World of the Dead', the sequel to 'The Zombie Diaries'. In 2011 he produces and stars in 'Monk3ys'.
He team up again with Paul Hills for a comedy based around the world of stage magic.
A keen photographer, poker player and independent traveller Jonnie's other interests include Tai Chi, the history of art, French cinema, a thousand different bands and answering rhetorical questions. He was once arrested at gun point in the sahara desert and his very favourite thing is to hang out with Stéphanie and their daughter.
Jonnie has a Kevin Bacon number of 3.
